Question Assassin's Creed Origins - Texture NPC/Areas slow loading

Hi all,
I've recently started playing AC Origins and my game seem to load NPCs and sometimes buildings texture really slow.
Like the one show below:
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVDJeZXcKRs&t=5s

Things I've done:
  • Change priority to 'High' on task manager.
  • Increased resolution to more than 140%
  • Lower Graphics.

My specs are, i5 4690k (Stock), GTX 1070 running @ 144hz 1080p.
The only things I think that are causing it are:
  • Thermal throttling ( my CPU is @ 100 degrees Celsius while playing, I think this is the main culprit?)
  • Weak CPU.
  • Having the game on HDD
  • Low CPU clock speed

Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Thermal throttling ( my CPU is @ 100 degrees Celsius while playing, I think this is the main culprit?)
the newer AC games are fairly CPU intensive compared to the older iterations.
your 4690K is probably already holding back loading times.
then considering the thermal throttling that is going on at that temperature
and that your GPU is most definitely also suffering from heat issues,
i would expect pretty poor gameplay.

you need to include your entire system specs;
chassis,
system-wide cooling setup,
and the rest of your components.
Increased resolution to more than 140%
raising the resolution is just going to demand even more system resources, so you're just making it worse.

even with 100% there is no difference. thanks for the heads up. ill check back in a few hours

Sorry forgotten about the rest:
Here are the rest:
Arctic Alpine 12 CO CPU cooler
16GB DDR3 RAM @ 2133mhz
CiT Dark Star Midi Case

Any suggestions appreciated. thanks

CiT Dark Star Midi Case
that is actually a terrible cooling setup for a decent gaming system.
especially if you are using the case's stock setup with no extra fans installed.

the case has almost zero airflow;
only very small intake vents on the front-sides
and a single 120x130mm rear exhaust vent.

if you plan on keeping the case i would ensure it has higher quality fans installed;
3x 120mm or 2x 140mm front intakes,
and a high air-flow 120mm rear exhaust.
Arctic Alpine 12 CO CPU cooler
this is also a very low quality CPU cooler.
if it had more cool air coming into the case it could do a bit better cooling, but it would never be very efficient.
it has very limited heat dissipation due to it's small plate and lack of fin surface area.
plus a very small low quality fan attached.

Does it stutter ? If it does, I'd say sadly it's most likely Bugisoft being Bugisoft and a poorly optimized game

Not really, But for example when I kept on going (forward in a straight line) without the NPC/building texture being loaded the game pretty much started to stutter and graphically bug.

that is not a common occurrence for this game. i have it installed now and i don't get random stuttering
or the types of graphical issues you've been experiencing.

16GB DDR3 isn't enough? Ubisoft's system requirements isn't accurate?
your issue is almost definitely thermal throttling going on because of your extreme temperatures. not your amount of system RAM.
when your components get dangerously hot, they cycle down their speeds to reduce the heat to prevent damage.

turn on an ingame OSD like Afterburner's, or if your GPU manufacturer offers one, and watch your GPU(core & memory) and CPU speeds and temperatures.

Hi thanks for the reply. While playing the game the CPU utilization is @ 100% with temp ranges from 97-100 degrees C. CPU speed is @ 3.2-3.6Ghz while playing. and GPU utilization is @ around 65%.

CPU speed goes down to 3Ghz if i keep playing without the textures getting loaded

I can solve the slow texture issue by limiting FPS cap to 30.

Any more thoughts other than lower the CPU temp?

what temp is the GPU hitting? it can also play a major limiting factor?

my first recommendation would be to start upgrading to a modern build.
the CPU is over 6 years old
and the GPU is at least 5.

also, continuously hitting ~100° on the CPU will seriously degrade it's lifespan and possibly just kill it outright.
so you may want to plan on investing in a replacement ASAP.

to preserve what you currently have;
you should be able to find a nicer cheap case for ~$50-70, a decent CPU cooler ~$25-40, and add a few decent fans ~$20-35 fairly easily.

GPU temp was around 65-66 C
