[SOLVED] Assemble a Workstation for Virtulazation - Latest configuration

Hello

I am looking to setup a workstation as a Lab for My Test and hands-on experience.
I am planning to setup a complete enterprise environment (Exchange, AD, SCCM, Fileserver). I did research however I am not able to conclude on the Hardware requirement to setup for my hyper V / VM ware enviroment.

I am looking for a configuration which is future-proof (Latest configuration) and i can expand my memory upto 128 GB. I need suggestion for perfect

to achive what i am looking at. Please suggest

you would be looking at a higher end threadripper i should think, latest gen, with a mobo that can support that kind of ram... lol, this is going to get expensive.

how many VMs we talking total? they don't have to all use monster sized resources you know. i run build vms with 2 cpu and 2 gb ram and they are super fast and good.

you probably just need a R7 2700X or better with 64 GB ram i would think, unless you are going nuts here.

I specced this this morning, it would host a bunch of VMs no problem.
