ASUS 68u slow WIRELESS Speed

Hello, I have 200 down speed network- spectrum, but I am only getting 80-90 speed on wireless. I have attached the ethernet directly to my laptop computer and speed is 150-180. The same ethernet is then attached to the router port and wireless speeds is 80-90?

I have merlin loaded into the router.

Any fixes?. Is it the router?

Single channel link on 2.4gHz is limited to 72/75Mbps. Sounds like this may be an issue with the wireless adapter you are using.
The 68u is capable of 144Mbps .

Tried 5 ghz, speed was indeed 140-160 whereas 2.4 was 60-80.
