First off I have asked this question once before but I forgot the password to the account, anyways the problem still exists.

PROBLEM:
My GPU is not giving my monitor a signal, I just keep getting a "no signal" logo on my monitor, my GPU is an Asus 7850 and has always worked, the fans are spinning and it has a little green light on it to show that it is powered.

This problem started happening as soon as I upgraded my CPU to a i7 3770k from an i3 3220, ever since then the GPU will not give a signal, I have tried putting my old i3 3220 in the system and my GPU gives a signal and works perfectly.

Luckily I have been able to connect my monitor via the intergrated graphics so I could perform the following troubleshooting listed below.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Updated my BIOS to the latest BETA version, still didnt work so I rolled it back to the latest STABLE version, still didnt work.

Tried reinstalling Windows 8.1

Completely wiped my HDD using DBAN

Removed and replaced the CMOS battery

Disabled integrated graphics in the BIOS menu

BREAKTHROUGH....Well kinda.

I tried using the GPU in the 2nd PCIE slot (x4 lane) and it gives a signal.

I know my x16 slot isnt faulty as the GPU gives signal when using the i3 CPU

Small update, I have spoken to my local computer shop along with intel and they have heard responses of certain compatibility issues when using an unlocked CPU in a gigabyte board with a x16 lane occupied by a GPU

Just incase anyone is interested, I have sent the mobo back to Gigabyte and they just sent me a replacement, they said that the mobo was faulty but couldn't exactly narrow it down to what had happened, anyways I got a new motherboard 😀.
