Asus 8200 Deluxe and TV out

Asus P4T motherboard
OS Windows 2000 pro

My problem is when I use the TV out in either S vidio to composite with adapter (TV only has a Composite input) or straight composite to composite I get a black and white picture and the V-Hold is off and it flips up over and over. My TV has no V hold adjustment. So basically I cant get it to work. I also find it annoying that I can only get TV out by booting rather than at the desktop. I should mention that what I am really doing is going composite into my VCR and the VCR feed the signal into the TV. This is how I got my older Asus 6800 to work which woked fine but cant get the 8200 to work properly, Anyone have any suggestions?


P.S. I set my res to 800X600 16 bit ahead of time

TV only has a Composite input

i guess its an "old" tv ?

that i can say its old TV+new comp. video hardw can generate B&W issue.
it seems to be a color synchro pb (the TV dont detects the color) because maybe the tv out signal is sligtly different (or the TV input signal itself).

i have this pb with a TV input cable signal. i dont know if its your case. nevertheless your structure is identical as mine:

new gc+composite+old tv => B&W


if you know you don't know, the way could be more easy.
