Asus 970 Pro Gaming/Aura No picture or video when i turn it on.

My grandad gave me this motherboard and I installed it in the case and when I power it up there is no screen. No signal on the monitor. I put a am4 amd cpu 4 core FX series. I tried a couple different ram setups. I tried to clear cmos and remove the battery, and used the cmos jumper. nothing works. Is there anything to try before throwing it away? He was using this as his main motherboard and I am not sure if he did something in the bios or what but I know he doesn't overclock.

Which FX CPU model is it exactly? Some of them don't incorporate graphics so you would need a separate graphics card.

I have tried different video cards mobo is in trash now
