asus a7n266-vm cpu upgrade help

hiya guy's ,
i just upgraded my cpu(to a xp2100) on my asus a7n266-vm board. my problem is the sys is not runng it at the speed it shoud be at 1.73 .and i cant get the fsb to be set to the proper setting cuase it is locked and i dont think there is away to unlock this board.
could anyone help me out with this.

What Bios level are you running?

133x13=1733.

If I remember correctly, on the mobo has jumpers to switch from 100 to 133MHz FSB. Check your manual.

Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.

i didnt upgrade the bios ,i was not sure if i had to or not. i have rev 1.04 highest multi is 12.5 no 13 maybe i do need to update?

Not according to their min requirements 1.03.
You say u have 1.04 so u should be ok.

Did you check your Mobo manual for a jumper setting for the FSB as our other friend suggested?
And if it's there is it set appropriately?

U have to get the FSB to 133 so that 13x133(.3)=1733
