Hi,
Decided to do some upgrades on the ASUS A8V motherboard by fitting the FX-57 CPU, and 4GB Kingston 1GB PC3200 DDR RAM (KVR400X64C3A/1G). I have over-clocked by 10% and it is running cool. Other than making a few adjustments to the updated BIOS everything worked ok. That said, I’m no expert and the setup has been more ‘trial and error’ than anything else, so I don’t really know if the BIOS is set to the best settings, and would appreciate any advice you can give on the subject.
Looking at the results from CPU-Z that I downloaded, I’m getting these readings:
Core speed: 2860.9 MHz
Multiplier: x13
Bus Speed: 2200 MHz
HT Link: 1100 MHz
Core voltage: 1.520v
Timings
DRAM frequency: 178.7 MHz
FSB DRAM: CPU/16
CL: 3
tRCD: 3
tRP: 3
tRAS: 8
tRC: 11
CR: 2T
DRAM idle time: 16
