I purchased my copy of windows 8.1 and it was cheaper than the retail box. I came in a cardboard sleeve and i think it was oem. Idk. I built my system from scratch.
Hey, it's close to update time, (or lie and wait to see how disasterous it is and update in a few weeks time.) and I can't help but notice that in the "Get Windows 10" app, under Check Your PC under the menu, I don't see AI Suite 3 there anymore. I only saw it the first time I reserved as an incompatible program. It was the only one on my PC.
You think it is compatible now with the newer build of windows 10?
Is it there for you, or gone as well?
Mine scanned for compatibility on 7/10/2015 apparently, so maybe we can cross our fingers and hope the upgrade doesn't create AI Suite 3 to go haywire.
Making at least 2 backup images to be safe...
Just have to make it to the desktop after the upgrade so we can create a boot drive to clean-install Win10, am I right
😉
I never trust upgrades, I'm a cleanfreak when it comes to my PC's files. Don't wanna risk some old registry entries left over from the upgrade causing corruption 6 months down the line.
I've got some horror stories from AI Suite 2 with my ol AMD 990FX pro mobo... Had to reinstall and never installed it again with that mobo. I never even had to upgrade OS's with AI suite installed, many say that caused fatal issues with tons of people from 8 to 8.1
