Asus altec lansing driver

Hello,
ive got a dual boot machine (k52F) boots with windows 7 and ubuntu. under ubuntu, the volume is plenty loud- under windows 7 i can barely hear it. what drivers/config should i be using under windows to get the full volume

Have you tried updating the sound driver to see if it helps with the volume issue?

I have. Apparently I have to most up-to-date driver.
