its funny how they dont load Benchies with the AA up high because this card SMOKES the GTX480 by a HUGE margin when AA turned up, toms are apple/nvidia fans now

[citation][nom]demonhorde665[/nom]last i checked no gamers buy a single card that cost this much period LOL[/citation]

Back in the day when I was a kid 'puters costed well over $2000, my family computer was a 486 25Mhz

you may re-spawn several times
but you will only live once

Cool I guess. Same story as always.

Nvidia and Crysis don't get along but in sli Nvidia kicks the crap out of ATI in every way but multi-monitor configurations if AA is turned on to any degree.

Random thought:
Wonder if nvidia has specialized architectures for doing AA as it does AA so much more efficiently than ATI it's ridiculous.

Asus... NEVER AGAIN!

Their cooling solution are just the worst you can purchase.

M4a79T-E, EAH4850 top in cf and a wonderful 2K$ laptop G73JH-A1 all sharing the same problem... OVERHEATING ISSUES!

I need to RMA my laptop because my gaming laptp cannot... game... without crashing with GSOD and a hard reboot.

Everyone who says "Too much money"

Look at people who drop over 3k on a computer from falcon-nw, or alienware.

There are people in the world with money, it may not be you, but they exist - or the products wouldn't.

Price aside this card is probably going to go down as a collectors item. Whats the manufactoring print on this hardware? i bet less than 10,000 were made. Thus this will eventually become more expencive than the $1,200. Hell i dont think its that bad knowing that 2 5870s are around $800-900, you do get a nifty case as well and its exclusive.

[citation][nom]desolationjones[/nom]From all the reviews I've seen, both the 470 and the 480 have had terrific scaling, especially in crysis In some cases the the 470 in sli even beats the 5870 in crossfire. Something must be terribly wrong with your setup. http://www.guru3d.com/article/gefo [...] -review/11http://www.hexus.net/content/item. There's something terribly wrong with those comparisons, dude. They're not Crysis... they're Crysis Warhead.

Different game, yo. :)

I dont know if this has been said before but its apparent to me that a lot of game makers dont like nvidia's SLI. many of the games tested here saw no benefit from 2 gtx480's. The ones that did the 480 was well ahead of the crowd. So as a request could you try running this benchmark again with a hydra enabled mobo? Just to see if the hardware agnostic sli shows any improvements in games that dont like nvidia's sli.

[edit] nevermind... looked up your review of the hydra and you reported that you couldnt get crysis to stop crashing and the baseline 5870 got the same fps in crossfire as it did in hydra and with a single card. So the problem is with crysis not the hardware. can we stop using it as a benchmark if it's not going to be fixed and obviously is a flawed program? [/edit]

The only games which I have seen showing crazy 90% scaling in SLI are TWIMPTB titles....funnily, Crysis is one of those....

Yeah I think we can all agree the original crysis is broken and should be DQ'ed from use as a benchmark. warhead is fine since they seem to have fixed the problems with the original in it.

[citation][nom]JOSHSKORN[/nom]Where's the Radeon HD 5970 Crossfire?[/citation]
Yeah, exactly! I'd love to see that included in future benchmark tests.
Currently got one of these puppies is my pc, but am thinking of adding another one when prices go down and my savigns go up. 😛
Am sure it would be able to crush any SLI/Crossfire configuration tested here.

Very nice Asus. Asus is my hero, LOL.
Finally a company with b*lls.

Would love to get 4 or more of these into a HPC.
Drooollliiinnnnnggggggg.

Can Asus do something about the Intel 6core cpu's as well so we can get some processing power not just "chitty chitty bang bang we love you" 6cores "excuses" currently on the market.

Hopefully Asus might end up using some common sense and start pricing Ati products within users budget where ATI is failing badly with the overpriced "server video card 5830 / igp 5830" and home theatre/iptv box overpriced 5850.

Is this the missing / scraped 5890 being recycled as this one and a possible new long awaited much stronger 5890 might be coming soon ?

The link ATI could not delete from the internet.

Any idea on the ATI 6000 that was dew for Q3 2010 ?

What monitors where used for that 3 way testing?? Curious as to how that connection set up worked, since the card has 3 totallyt different connectors to use for such effort, what cable system and montor set up for DVI, displayport, HDMI differences on a single card ?? did all monitors boot correctly or where their video sync issues until after desktop and profiles where loaded??
