Hello,

After doing research , I see that pretty much any 4 pin 5050 RGB strip is compatible to be lit by Aura on my Strix B-350 Gaming motherboard. My question is, to get the Aura effects (where it isn't just a static color illumination), do I need a special type of strip?

I'd prefer to not over-pay for some of these PC Component companies products, when I can get a 5m roll fro $15, but I also want to be able to use the effects, rather than just static single color.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Right. But they also mention that any 5050 RGB strip 'will work' as long as it is 4-pin... but does 'will work' mean 'will lite and change to a color' or 'be fully compatible with all features of the Asus Aura controller'.

Those are the overpriced options that I mention, where, for $20, you get 12 inches of RGB LED and I am looking for about 3 feet and am not willing to pay ~$60 for it.

Thanks. I saw this as well when I was researching. The main question I have isn't "Will it light up," it's more to the tune of "Will the transition effects work." Do all 5050 LED Strips have individually addressible LED's or are they set to where all LED's on the strip are the same color at all times... If they are all the same color all the time, then the effects won't work, I think.

That was a good find. I must have missed this product.

I found them(and ordered a set) because I was looking for as set to go with the Asus Z370 board i ordered.
