Hi guys,

Building a new pc with old and new parts. The new pieces I bought were the case, cpu, mobo, ram and ssd. Which are Thermaltake V21, ryzen 7 1700, b350-i rog strix, g.skill trident z ddr4 3200 and samsung 850 evo ssd respectively. Using old gpu and psu which are 670gtx and corsair ax850.

I have put everything together and when i turn on the pc it takes me to asus splash screen where it ask "Please press DEL or F2 to enter UEFI BIOS setting", pressing del or f2 does nothing. Although crtl-alt-del still resets the pc and pressing num/cap/scroll locks turns off and on the lights.

Solution

1. First clear the CMOS.
2. If that does not help you need to take the motherboard out of the case. Boot with only 1 stick of RAM and no drives connected.

Connect through Sata 6gb/s. Im not sure of the ssd is showing up on bios as I cannot enter uefi bios. Pressing delete and f2 keys does nothing.
