Question Asus B550-I USB 3.2 Gen 2 issue

Hey everyone. I have an Asus B550-I Gaming WIFI mobo. I have a USB-C front io plugged into the 3.2 Gen 2 header. I can not get connectivity on either my phone or a backup drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you install the drivers for your USB ports(i.e, the chipset)manually using the latest drivers found off of AMD's support site? Also make sure to be on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard.

Yes chipset and BIOS are both updated.

I have left my phone plugged into it for the last 30 minutes. Sporadically the phone will be recognized and start charging for maybe 5 seconds then it drops connections again.

This is only for the front io usb-c. The mobo onboard usb-c works without any issues.

are you sure it is enabled ? check the bios

Everything in the bios seems to be enabled. I went to Advanced -> USB Configuration-> USB Single Port Control and everything is enabled to include “USB3.2_7” and “AUDIO_TYPE-C”

Is there anywhere else I should be looking? I’m not the best at navigating the BIOS.
