I'm using an Asus Z97-A, with two EVGA GTX 1070 SC's. The computer was working completely fine but I wanted to upgrade to SLI.
When I plugged in the second 1070 in Windows is unable to detect it, and the motherboard lists the device in the second slot as being x0. When I unplug the second card, it lists the second slot as being 'not enabled'. I tried running the computer with just one card in the second slot, and it runs fine, but the motherboard shows it as being x2.
It appears both the slot and both cards are working, but is there something need to change in the bios to enable both cards to be recognized correctly?
Device manager only ever shows one card. I've completely removed old video card drivers and reinstalled the latest ones from NVIDIA.
