Just finished building my rig today, posted fine, got into BIOS on initial boot, installed Windows onto my pcie SSD 480gb mydigitalssd bpx. Then I tried getting into BIOS on start up, and couldn't get into it, just kept going straight to windows. After 2 hours of shutting down and restarting trying every del , f2 combination, length of pressing holding before pressing power still could not access the BIOS!!!!!!
So I did a clear CMOS button on the back of the MOBO, now it gives an A2 error and brings me to that stupid American megatrends screen telling me to press f1 to enter BIOS setup. So I press f1 and guess what still can't get into the BIOS. Did a flash bios update. Nothing. Oh I've got a PS/2 keyboard. That'll surely work. Oh there are NO PS/2 slots in the back of the IX maximus HERO Mobo. It's gotta be the.keyboard not getting registered, but if I could just get into the BIOS once I could fix all this. Any suggestions?

I figured it out as I type to you from my new build! Simply just using a different usb keyboard. I guess the logitech keyboards wont work with ASUS bios of the start. Thanks for the suggestions, happy building.
It all has to do with where you connect your usb keyboard too.
Most people think you can connect your keyboard to any usb port of the system case.

However it is not the case, on most systems if you look at the back of the system on the main I/O ports you will see a Ps2 mouse and keyboard connector in a slit color of green and purple.

Just above or bellow it you will see two usb ports.
These are the two you plug the keyboard and your mouse into in order for the usb keyboard to work and enter the bios of the motherboard.

Once in the bios settings in order to be able to use the keyboard with any other usb port of the system you have you must enable the option of Enable legacy usb detection Patrick.

But this is my problem, I have a USB keyboard, it lights up, and on the last screen for f1 it says it's detecting a keyboard. I guess I just have to get a cheaper keyboard. I would love to get to that option of enabling legacy USB, but sadly it just will not let me get into the BIOS.
