Is my motherboard compatible with the GTX 970 graphics card? Still not sure which version I should buy because I heard the EVGA is the best, but I've seen news where Nvidea is being sued for misleading ads?

Any recommendations? Thanks!

Short answer: Yes, but it's alot more complicated than that. First of all the power supply in your computer is not sufficient for that kind of upgrade as it is only 300-350 watts (it depends on which one yours came with). You might need to spend an extra ~$50 on a decent 500 watt psu. Second is just making sure your new card will fit, I couldn't find a maximum length online so you'll have to measure it yourself. This one should fit http://www.amazon.com/MSI-GTX-970-4G-Graphics/dp/B00NN0GEXQ This one is good too http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121899

You seem confused on the difference between gpus, nvidia is the company that manufactures the gtx 970 card. The "version" is just a manufacturer like Asus or MSI...

You seem confused on the difference between gpus, nvidia is the company that manufactures the gtx 970 card. The "version" is just a manufacturer like Asus or MSI putting their own fans on it, but no matter which one you get, you are getting the same card underneath.

Which one you should get is a matter of the ability to COOL the card so it can run better, the two I recommended will run nice and will still most likely fit in your case.

The gtx 970 is a great card, the thing you've been hearing is that it only has 3.5 gb of ram instead of 4 as advertised. There actually is 4 gb but 0.5 of it is slower, but it REALLY won't affect your performance, and it's still a great buy.

The specifics behind it are actually more complicated but that's the basic rundown on the issue.

Hope this helps!

It helped thanks! I have heard from friends telling me that I need to upgrade my PSU so I'm thinking of going with the Corsair 550W RM.

Too much noise will push me to edge of my sanity, haha.

Anyways thank you.
