Asus EAH 5850 displayport monitor flickering

Hi,

I have a win 7 64 bit system with an ASUS ATI EAH 5850 video card, driving 1) 19" monitor via a hdmi to dvi connector, 2) a 27" monitor via a DVI cable, and 3) a 24" monitor via a display port cable. The display port monitor is intermittently blacking out and refreshing. I know its not a problem with the monitor because connecting it directly to a different machine has no problems. I have tried 2 different cables with the win7 system and both result in the displayport connected monitor flickering. The system has a 1000 Watt powersupply. Any suggestions on things I can try?

Have you tried switching up the cables; ie instead of running it on display port run that one on HDMI or DVI.

This may fix the issue.

Alternatively you should make sure that the refresh rate is reading the refresh rate in the CCC is the same as your monitors.
