Hi,

I've just built my system and I'm getting no video output during the POST boot. When i remove this card and stick in my old PCI graphic card I can actually see and get into the BIOS.

Is there an issue with the converting DVI to VGA. I using the adapter provided and only have a VGA monitor at the moment. Manual and asus website are no help. I have seen other issues simliar to mine on the ASUS forum, but no solutions for fixing.

I've tried moving the card into the other PCI-E slot and I get the same result.

HELP!!!! Cheers

My Set-up is
ASUS A8N 32SLI
2 x 1GB CORSAIR3500PRO
Thermaltake Tai-Chi Case

Well, this may not be much help, but I'm using an eVGA 7800 GT card and it only has 2 outputs, both DVI. I have one running DVI to a CRT and the other is using the VGA adapter going to a CRT. I have changed which is plugged into which interface, for other troubleshooting I was doing, but I've never had a problem with it. It has worked perfect for me since day one.

That's odd as you generally should get some video output duing the boot up process - try switching the monitor beween the two outputs as I'm not sure if both will start up. Are you getting any output at all? If you see something on the screen during start-up then at least you know its working. You may then have to go into the BIOS and make a few adjustments and tehn load teh OS and update all the drivers.

If your MB has integrated graphics then you'll need to disable that before you can get the graphics card to work.

If you don;t have integrated grapchics on you MB and you're getting nothing at all then check that the card is seated in the [correct] slot okay and that you have power connected to the card. I have an eVGA 7800GT and it required a separate dedicated power connection from the power supply biut everything worked first go.
