Couple days ago I bought this faulty PC just for RAM as the RAM in it was worth double the amount that I paid for the PC but I'm hoping to fix this PC so I can easily flip it rather than wait for someone who wants to buy it for parts. The seller only told me that the PC does not boot and it's very likely to be a dead motherboard. I tried booting the system up and it powers on, but shows no display. These are the specs:
AMD A6-3600
AMD HD 5670 1GB
Asus F1A75-V Pro M/B
Corsair CX500M PSU
Kingston KVR 2GB DDR3 RAM (Using it for testing)

Things I tried:
1. Testing the video card, I tested it in another PC and it works without issues.
2. I tested the RAM that came in the PC which was working fine but I'm using my own Kingston RAM as the one that came in dosen't fit very well with the cooler.
3. I took off the CPU cooler and booted the PC for 3 seconds and the CPU does get warm.
4. I have tested the PSU in another PSU under load and tested all the connections with a PSU tester and it does seem to work just fine.
5. I have tried clearing CMOS and taking out the battery for good measures.
6. I have tried the MemOK button, dosen't seem to make a difference.
7. Tried booting it with TPU button on, dosen't seem to make any difference.

The thing that I notice is that the PC does not show display either thru the GPU or on-board graphics by plugging it straight to the motherboard, but the motherboard power indicator does light up and the motherboard reacts to power button and reset button normally, when I do boot it, it does not boot loop or beep any error codes, it only beeps error codes when I try to boot it without RAM, I'm unsure if this is normal or not as I never owned a m/b with MemOK, but the DRAM LED is constantly on when I boot the PC, and blinks when I press the MemOK button.

I have pretty much done eveything that I know of and tested everything except the CPU as I don't have another FM1 board. I have ordered the cheapest working FM1 CPU off EBay that I could find which was £3 including postage which I want to put it in the system and see if its boots, mean while I wait for the CPU, I'm wondering if someone knows what may be wrong.

P.S: Forgot to say this but the board does not look to have any physical damage, all caps seem to be intact and non bubbly.

1. Have you tried booting without any HDD's connected?
2. Have you tried booting with 1 stick of RAM in each memory slot in turn?
3. The CPU support list says the A6-3600 has been "Validated since BIOS revision 1103", which is not the original BIOS release. That could be your problem.

1. The PC came with no hardrives and I have been trying to boot without one.
2. I have tried single stick in every slot and dual channel, I think I have somewhere 8 sticks of 1GB DDR3 ram, I will try all the slots.
3. That's interesting, I will check the list and see if the CPU that I bought yesterday is supported by the bios.

Unfortunately I tried the new CPU and still same issue, maybe because they're on the same BIOS revision version. So this has been tracked down to the motherboard being the problem.

I'm unsure if I can flash the BIOS to newer version without display since it's a non ROG motherboard so it has no ROG connect. It does have a removable BIOS chip and new ones with latest BIOS can be bought off eBay for £8 but I'm wondering if I can somehow flash it with no display.

Although i have never used this before, on page 3.1 your manual says ASUS CrashFree BIOS 3 utility can be used when the BIOS file fails.

Page 3.1 - The following utilities allow you to manage and update the motherboard BIOS setup program.

ASUS CrashFree BIOS 3 utility:
Restores the BIOS using the motherboard support DVD or a USB flash drive when the BIOS file fails or gets corrupted.

I was browsing thru ASUS forums on solutions how to flash BIOS without display and one guy said how he managed to flash his ASUS board with a DVD but somehow that went over my head. I will download the manual and read about the CrashFree BIOS part and have a go and see if I get somewhere with it.

So I have tried it like it said on tutorials and such, this is what I did;
1. Formatted USB drive to FAT32
2. Downloaded latest BIOS from Asus website, I put "Other" as the operating system since I dont have a HDD in the PC
3. Copied the .ROM file to the USB drive and renamed it what it said in the manual
4. Inserted the USB drive into the rear I/O
5. Turned on the PC and left it on for about 10 minutes
6. Pulled out the USB stick, turned it on and still no display :/

I am completetly out of ideas now unless I did something wrong which I don't think I did.

I don't think it should matter but "Other" operating systems would refer to Linux or BSD. You could try downloading the BIOS for Windows 7 or 8. If that does not work i am out of ideas also.

I will try a BIOS for Windows and see if it helps but just now out of curiosity I pulled out my CoolerMaster GX750W PSU out of my main rig that I know works and plugged it into the motherboard and as I turn on the PSU switch, the motherboard turns on without power button, I though it was a faulty power button because the case was heavly damaged and the power button was very mushy but even when I pull out the power button wire from i/o panel, it still turns on.

Maybe that's a clue to what's wrong, I know that is really late info but I though it was a faulty mushy power button, but if I hold the power button, the motherboard does turn off and will not turn back on again unless pressed.

You can try disconnecting the power button and shorting the pins on the motherboard with a screwdriver.
