Question asus flashing A0 but PC won't boot

I am using an asus x79 deluxe motherboard and an e5-2670 CPU. The motherboard started fine, showing A0 on the LED screen, which I think is the code for success. My monitor, however, is constantly showing "no signal". Some people were saying that it is a GPU driver issue? How do I update my driver when I can't even boot into BIOS...? I am sure the GPU/hdmi are not the issue here. Is it possible that the motherboard is a DOA?

What graphics card are you using?

I once dealt with a X79 Deluxe which was a bit finicky at first boot with the inserted graphics card, probably a BIOS issue.

Although the Q-code was not A0. I don't remember the Q-codet but the corresponding error message was "Legacy Option ROM Initialization". Changing of the graphics card resolved the issue.

If you have another graphics card available it won't hurt to test with that too.
