I've recently bought an ASUS ROG GL502VT and it has been working perfectly except that sometimes the touchpad just shuts down - this isn't done via the Fn key that turns off the touchpad, but rather it just shuts down by itself - and won't work again until I've restarted the PC, and also that twice it's happened that the laptop just powers off midway through and won't turn back on despite having a lot of battery life left and I have to plug in the charger to get it to turn back on although it still has the same amount of battery as it had when it powered off. This just happened a few minutes ago when it shut down on 64% and after I plugged in the power supply and turned it back on it was still on 64%, and continued to work again once I took out the charger immediately after checking the battery life.

Does anyone know what's going on with the battery/touchpad, could there be some electronic issue somewhere in the PC?

Just to add further detail, I recently added 8GB more RAM into the laptop with the same frequency and was labled as one of the compatible brands with the inbuilt RAM and took a great amount of care when inserting the RAM, I'm not sure if that may have caused any issues?

Thanks.

Sorry to be an a$$ but this issue is still going on. I will be using the touchpad and it will just shut down, whether I leave it for a while or whether I'm moving the cursor it will stop after some time of use whenever it wants despite what I'm doing.

It would be great if someone has a solution of even some suggestions because I still need to be able to liaise with the seller about this issue and I don't want to leave it too long, but if it's a simple fix to solve it then that'll be much easier than agreeing for returns or refunds etc.

Thanks!
