Recently bought an ASUS GL552VW thinking I'd be able to run GTA 5 at atleast minimum settings at a constant 40fps but i cant even get 20 fps constantly, which is unplayable.
Are you sure you have everything installed correctly? Because it sounds like the game is running on the integrated graphics and not using the 960M. So, check the VGA drivers, and download them from Asus's website if they are not properly installed.
I downloaded the latest drivers from nvidia experience.
Check whether the icon in the task tray is showing that it's using the dedicated graphics card.
I sorted it. It was that I had my gaming laptop on battery save mode and it was capping my fps at 30. Turned off battery save on geforce experience and that was it back to normal! Thanks for your input!
