Asus GT 1030 and Samsung 49KU6470 - No 4k 60hz?

Hi all,

Looking for some help setting up 4k 60hz with my HTPC. Just installed Asus GT 1030 with hdmi 2.0 for this very purpose. But can still only set max 30hz at 4k? TV is Samsung 49KU6470 and pretty sure that supports 4k at 6hz.

PC is connected to Yamaha home cinema, but HDMI is pass through, so pretty sure it's not that.

Have gone to monitor properties and max in there is 30hz as well?

Make sure the Ultra HD Color setting is turned on in the TV settings.

What happens if you skip your Yamaha home cinema, its possible that the pass through isn't HDMI 2.0 compliant but only 1.4.

Aha, yeah 60hz selectable when I skip the Yamaha - looks like i'll have to work around it just now then... thanks!

If your TV supports Audio Return Channel you can use that to pipe the audio back into your home cinema if you use that for sound.

Yeah tried that - only problem is the TV doesn't deal with DTS-HD audio pass through. Time for a receiver upgrade!
