ASUS GT610 2GD3 compatable with ASUS Z97PRO ?

Have finished a new build with ASUS Z97 PRO mother board Core i7 4790S
16GB 2133Ram
I have an ASUS GT610 2GD3 left over from my old rig will it be compatable with the new build, under speced bottle neck etc etc
I am not a gamer, photo processing is my major reason for this build. maybe a bit of video work on the odd ocassion.
Will it be better to stick with the onboard intel 4600 graphics.

All motherboards these days use a PCI-e 16X slot, so of course.

They're compatible, yes, but it's basically the same speed at the Iris Pro graphics built into your i7.

The gt 610 is slower than the systems integrated HD 4600. The 610 is slower than the last couple gems of integrated in talk graphics.

I wont slow it all down, it's working just fine for a non gamer at this point in time. Will wait a few months, save a couple more €'s and get a GPU that will match the build of the new rig.
Any suggestions for a non gamer who seeks stability and a silent rig;

Especially for silence, look at something like the GTX 750 ti - it's extremely low power and very, very quiet; there are actually a number of totally passive models out there.
