Ok so here's the deal, the factory overclocked one is $50 more expensive but everything else is the same.

GPU Boost Clock : 1058 MHz
GPU Base Clock : 980 MHz

vs

GPU Boost Clock : 980 MHz
GPU Base Clock : 915 MHz

My question is can I get the cheaper one and overclock it to match the other one, preferably on stock voltage as I'm an amateur?

Yep, you can overclock it how you want it to be, and even better then the factory OC version. Save the 50$ and OC yourself.

Overclocking is never guaranteed--every chip is different. There is a possibility that you won't be able to overclock at all.
