Hello forum,
Posting this in a bit of a flap, so apologies for any poor description I give!
Just building my first gaming PC (first self-build), and I'm installing the ASUS GTX 770 DirectCU II OC, and powering with an XFX Pro650W semi-modular 80+ Bronze PSU.
My question is this: the GPU has an eight (8) pin, and a six (6) pin power input sockets (sorry, don't know proper terms!), the XFX has one PCI-e cable already connected, which has two 6+2 connectors, which are 'branching' off. I've connected one of the 6+2 into the 8 pin socket of the GPU, and what I want to know is can I connect the second 6+2 into the 6 socket, and just leave the +2 unconnected, or will I have to connect another 6 pin from the PSU to the card.
Picture (sorry for the quality):
Thanks in advance for any replies - I have spent 10-15 min looking online, but haven't found anything definitive... and because it's my first time, I'm very nervous!
