I've built my first ever computer.
Bought this motherboard and an i5 7600 CPU
I did a lot of research, looked into parts, made sure everything was compatible.
I knew that I might have to flash the BIOS if it came with an earlier version. Which it did.
However, there doesn't seem to be a way to update the BIOS without a compatible CPU?
Is this correct? None of the compatibility checks mention this. None of the support notes when listing compatible CPUs state that if you need a BIOS update, you need a compatible CPU first.
So I'm wondering, am I screwed? Or can I somehow update the BIOS without a compatible CPU attached?
