Asus H81M-K with i5 4460 cpu

I have a new Asus motherboard H81M-K and a new cpu Intel i5 4460.
On the mobo website, it sais I need to update BIOS before using the cpu --> http://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/H81MK/HelpDesk_CPU/

But in order to update the BIOS, I need to put in place the new i5 cpu and start the computer.
Can I do it this way? Can I update the BIOS after installing the cpu?

You can install CPU on the board and build your PC. Give it a try if the PC boots then you can update BIOS later on.
