hi i just upgraded my pc i put in one more stick of balsticts 4gb ram now i have a total of 8gb and i put a new cpu in but with both sticks of ram in the computer it wont start it frezzes at the windows logo i tried both sticks on thier own and they work fine it is 1600mhz ram please help!

What mobo? And if you have both ram sticks in the dual channel slots, try moving one over. Ram usually wont run dual channel if you don't buy them in a kit. It might be a conflict with them trying to run dual channel.

Just realized its in the title..... I'm on the ball eh? So I don't think dual channel could be a problem. run memtest on one stick at a time in each slot to see if it is the memory at fault, and maybe updating your bios could help if you havn't already got it to the newest version. I'd try playing with their timings and such in the bios as well. It might be your motherboard thats causing the issue

both of your ram sticks are ballisticts 4gb at 1600?
