Question Asus Hero XIII not detecting any optical hard drives, sent to Asus, no problem detected. Tried different confirmed working drives, suggestions?

Not sure what to do next. I have sent mother board to ASUS, updated bios, tried multiple drives. Unable to get mother board to detect any optical drives. M.2 SSD drives work fine. Any suggestions?

Are you connecting via sata or usb?
Likely, there is a driver issue.

SATA. Same drives in external enclosures work fine

Read your motherboard specs carefully.
When m.2 drives are installed, some sata ports will be disabled.

Thanks Geofelt. I knew that and had moved the connection to another port but guess I moved to another port that was also disable. I found a working one. Happy Holidays!
