Asus m4a785td-v evo memory PROBLEMS

Hello,
hi, i bought a asus M4A785TD-V EVO motherboard with 4GB of Corsair TW3X4G1600 C9DHX and it keeps crashing in windows ramdomly does with mean the RAM is not compadible with the motherboard? please reply ASAP THANKS

It's possible if you're getting windows bluescreens. Check your ram specs carefully. If you're running in the "auto" setting, you might check the voltage and change it to the ram specs. 1.65 volts is the maximum recommended setting for ddr3. You can also test one stick at a time using memtest, a free download. My current biostar h55 board came with the memtest program already loaded in the bios.

i dont get blue screens it just freezes. in the motherboards manual it doesnt say itS in one of the qualified venders list. it only recommends the CM3X1G 1600 C9DHX, not TW3X4G 1600 C9DHX if so wats the difference

As I said, it's possible only one stick is bad. Freezes also may indicate a heat issue somewhere in your system. If you want more advice, list all your system specs.

Ive noticed now it doesnt freeze with 2gb (of either stick) how do i get it to work with 4gb??

Go into the bios and check for a memory mapping setting, and change it. It's usually enabled. Also check for bios updates and see if any description of what they're for is listed. I don't recommend flashing the bios unless you're sure the new bios file will fix your problem. Sometimes ram won't run at the rated speed. Does it work well at less than 1600?
