So I'm doing a thrift store build and, I came across a asus m4a79 deluxe mobo and, I was just wondering, what ram would I use for it? Please provide links since I'm dumb and can't find things on my own.

4 x DIMM, Max. 16 GB, DDR2 1300(O.C.)/1200(O.C.)/1066*/800/667 ECC,Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel memory architecture
*Due to AMD CPU limitation, DDR2 1066 is supported by AM2+ / AM3 CPU for one DIMM per channel only. Refer to www.asus.com for the memory QVL (Qualified Vendors Lists).

Maybe when it comes to buffered vs unbuffered, but the main thing with AM2+/AM3 mobo is whether they're DDR2 or DDR3.

This mobo in particular is specifically DDR2 only.

Protip: AM2 and AM2+ mobo = DDR2, AM3 and AM3+ mobo = DDR3; note that there are a few mobos that actually support both DDR2 and DDR3.
