Asus M5A97 Esata help.

and and esata cable

so I connect the esata the power cable I put in the HDD it spins up, I turn on my pc and nothing can t find it any where so I don't no whats wrong any help would be great.

The device you've purchased runs off of either one of two connectors, an ESATA port and a Micro USB port. If you've connected the ESATA cable, did you connect it to one of your SATA ports on your motherboard? I assume you didn't, with which I'd like to add that your motherboard lacks any ESATA connectivity at the back of your motherboard;

Essentially your purchased device will work as an external storage drive should you connect using the Micro USB cable and pairing it with an available USB port on your system.
