This is my first build and all my parts on my pc are good and compatible or at least that what I though. I am currently using a m5a97 r2.0 mother board with an FX 6300. The memory is team elite plus DDR3 PC3 10600 and my card graphic is a msi geforce 650 gtx. Is my card graphic the flaw or is it my motherboard?

It's hard to say from here, but what is the issue? No display at all? No display in the UEFI BIOS only?
PCIe 6 pin cable in securely? It has to be all the way in so that it 'clicks' over the locking tab.
Monitor set to receive the correct signal from the card?

The monitor is projecting. I am booting from an old emachine hard drive that has windows 7 64bit loaded up already on it. When I go through the normal boot. The windows symbol will appear half way through it will freeze than blue screen for 1/2 a second and then reboot. I had disabled the secure booth and put it on other o's so it can project the error message so I can figure out what the problem is.

STOP.......

You can not "reuse" and old copy of Windows 7 with a new motherboard for two (2) reasons:
- 1st, it's likely to not even boot as it is configured for the original motherboard it was connected to...
- 2nd, it's license key is already in use for that old motherboard and you can't reuse it (unless it's a Full-Retail version...)

So, buy a new copy of Windows 7/8....
Reload the system from scratch using the new copy.... (if you just want to "test it" you can reload old Windows 7 from it's disks and it will work UN-registered for 30days...)

NOTE: I never recommend re-using an old hard disk in a new system, it's likely going to be the 1st thing to fail as it's already "old"...

It did load thank you and Thanks I will probably end up backing all my stuff up then wiping the hard disk and get a new windows copy. Just from curiosity will 8 slow me down if I'm gaming, heard windows 8 is a real CPU dapper?
