Hey guys, I am following Newegg's how to build a pc guide and I am testing out only the mobo, cpu +cooler, GPU and RAM with no hard drive and using a flat head to power it up. Is it normal to see on startup:

"The current BIOS setting do not fully support the boot device. Click OK to enter the BIOS Setup.

"Go to Advanced>Boot>CSM Parameters and adjust the CSM (Compatibility Support Module) settings to enable the boot device."?

Also is there a way to tell if my CPU is working? I have the AMD FX 8350.
PSU, CPU cooler and GPU seems like they all work fine as well.

Solution
I believe your error is being caused because there is no boot device. Have you tried clearing the CMOS? The easiest method is to remove the CMOS battery for 30-60 seconds and put it back in. Don't forget to select a best answer!
