"Those wanting an little bit of extra oomph from the hardware but aren't comfortable dealing with tweaks"

So they're saying that somebody who is a participant of this "Republic of Gamers" would not feel safe OC'ing the card themselves?

This looks like an awesome card. I would certainly pay a little more to get something like this.

And yea, those 2 8-pin connectors... Crazy...

[citation][nom]tacoslave[/nom]i was looking into buying one of these. If its a little extra cash ($50)it might be worth it imo.[/citation]

I doubt $50 would cover the 2nd GB of RAM on it. Would be nice, tho.

If this is priced around 449$, I would get one and Crossfire it with my 5850 ;-)

I do believe I have the vapors! This Will compliment the crosshair III rather nicely. I'm sure retailers will give will Jack off the prices as hard they can with this one, as they have with all of the other 5000 series. And the sad part is that people like me are going to take it.

Look cool but... Asus doesn't build GOOD video card.

I had a Asus ATi 9600XT (200$) who get memory bug/leak if you let just the system idle for 1-2 days. Return to Texas and 1 month after they return me telling me the card turn on.. wow... I remplace it for an Msi MX400 (40$) (at least the card doesn't freeze for no reason).

And my bro buy an Asus GeForce EN6600. Random reset in game.

So Asus... no thank.

I find the Power Cooler overclocking solution to be superior to a fan system. I can't imagine you would be able to pair 4 of these for Quad-fire due to poor air intake.

Also it would be a funny test to pit it against the GTX480. 18% is about the difference between the HD5870 and the GTX480. If it outperforms, nVidia would have a very short lived performance crown. Not to mention it will be very difficult to overclock the GTX480.
