Upgrading my intel i5 2500 build to asus Maximus code ix, intel i7 6700k, and corsair vengeance 3000 MHz RAM 8 GB x2.

Current specs:
•Coolermaster 1000w Gold PSU
•Intel i7 6700k
•Asus Maximus code IX
•Corsair vengeance DDR4 3000 MHz RAM 8 GB x2
Nvidia GTX 980
Coolermaster HAF X case
Windows 10 64-bit

Computer worked fine before but now with these 3 new parts, I get an error code 00. I've tried the troubleshooting with RAM in several different ways (still get 00 so I don't think it's the RAM), I've tried reseating the CPU twice (still 00), I've tried reseating the power cables and removing SATA cables (still 00), and I've tried booting with no CPU (no response from computer whatsoever).

Pins are not bent and I don't see any damage or burning smell on any of my parts. I have also unplugged my Nvidia 980 GPU and plugged directly into the display port of the board. However that shouldn't matter because I am trying POST before I even try to output to my monitor.

Any thoughts?

Solution
For some reason, the CPU does not work. Try testing the board outside the case, with a known working power supply, both 24 and 8 pin power cables connected. If still 00, I'd RMA both board and CPU..

Thank you, I will try that.

DId you resolve this ?I have the same problem. The motherboard does not come up without the CPU, but with it , no display on hdmi output and code is 00 .. no flashing LEDs at all.

What board and CPU using? Is the 8 pin power cable connected to the motherboard?

This seems to be a big issue right now. The culprit is the RAM. For some reason, the motherboard BIOS isn't outputting the correct voltage. The only stable solution I found is to downgrade your ram speed from 3000+ to 1600. It's half but it works. I'm still trying to figure out how to maintain 3200 mhz on my corsair vengeance (16-18-18-36).

I've copied what this YouTuber says exactly, except change the following:

DRAM Voltage: 1.31
VCCIO: 1.225
System Agent: 1.25

When restarting the PC, it boots fine. However when booting from a complete cold start, sometimes it'll hang. To fix it, simply click the reset button on your PC and then your PC will boot into the OS. However booting does take quite some time. For me it takes over a minute and I am running on an SSD. For all we know, it's an issue with the BIOS.
