ASUS Maximus IX Hero and M2 SSD

Okay on the Asus Maximus IX Hero there is two spots for the m.2 ssd drives. I am only going to be using one m.2 ssd right now, so which of the spots would be the best to plug it into? The top one near the CPU? or the one down below? Thanks.
