Asus Maximus VII Formula - fans on fan header 2B goes haywire from time time time, why?

Greetings,

I have an Asus Maximus VII Formula motherboard, and lately [no significant updates, or anything] my fans on fan header 2B are going wild from time to time. Restart nad sleep helps, after they go back to normal. I use ai suite, but even on clean install of Windows, it's doing this stuff.

Two fans on header 2B are Noctua Industrial 2000 PPM or something [the 120mm 2000 rpm ones]. They are with fan splitter [Noctua fan splitter, could he be the culprit?].

Please advise,

regards

jimmysmitty - the thing is, it wasn't doing it for a long time, it started just lately. I'll try to change splitter, if it'll persist, I will try Yours. I have silent mode in UEFi, but I will put there the tuned up mode, from Q-Fan tuning. Thank You for now! I will update the thread!

crinkdude - I'm testing it at the moment. In general, the new splitter didn't help, and sometimes turning on/off of the secondary LCD panel turns the fans on. So far I'm solving it by sleeping computer and waking it. I will change the cables as soon as I can...

I think I found the culprit. The PWM splitter is a mess for Noctua Industrial fans. I mean, Noctua Industrial fans are a mess. They don't work well with splitters at all. They need to be one per header. As I set the RPM to fix mode, it prolly wen't away.

This is a solution, but I can't mark it.

It's back. Ffs! 🙁
