Asus Maximus VII Ranger or Hero?

Since Ranger is cheaper than Hero. Do I need to get the extra features of Hero, if there's any?

The Hero is a bit better, has more SATA ports, better power delivery and overall better board.
If you don't need the extra features you can get the Ranger, but I'd suggest the Hero for better overclocking.
Both are solid board, that's for sure.

I've got the Hero (actually both of them) and love them, they've taken everything I've thrown at them, would love to get my hands on a Ranger, but not available in the States

No sound issues? I want to get a ranger but the sound popping could be of an annoyance.

Uninstalling the realtek driver would mean i can't use the sound features rog provides.. Nonetheless, i am liking the quailty.. And now i am stuck whether to jump on this purchase... :/
