ASUS Maximus VIII Hero - Problems!

Hey guys, I have just bought a ASUS Maximus VIII Hero and having some problems. Alright so I have the power supply and the mobo, the PSU is a EVGA SuperNova 850W G2. I have both of them in my case which is a corsair 750D, so when I try to start the mobo by pressing (start) on it nothing happens. Now the start button and reset button does light up, but the chasis fans do not start at all. Is this because I do not have my RAM and CPU installed into the MOBO? I really hope I do not have a DOA mobo. Thanks guys

I would say so install ram and CPU

I would certainly put the CPU and RAM in first and then try again. I know you can get fans without RAM on some boards, but no CPU I am not so sure.

Wait till your build is complete before you try to power it up.
