ASUS MG248Q not running on 144hz on Display

Hi,
I just bought ASUS MG248Q and planning to run it on 1070 GTX. When using the display port cable that came with it, i can only max to 60 hz. ( i cant see any thing above 60 in drop down menu in Nvidia CP)

When i use DVI cable, i get the 144 hz option but since my cable is single link, that doesnt work either🙁

i though display port cable is suppose to work with 144hz? what is this mystery

Hey let me go home and take screenshot and send you. it is a option in Nvidia CP.

go to change resolution assuming you had nvidia card, and than scroll down to PC, select the resolution from there instead of top which had said HD SD ULTRA etc. this was the fix for me.
