I recently had a friend build a new PC for me with mostly new parts.
Parts in:
-Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 (NEW)
-AMD FX 8320 8 Core (NEW)
-XFX 650W TS SERIES FULL WIRED 80+(NEW)
-ASUS MOBO M5A97 R2.0 AM3+(NEW)
-2 TB SEAGATE HARD DRIVE (FROM PREVIOUS PC)
-8GB RAM (FROM PREVIOUS PC)

The way it freezes: Completely stops at whatever frame and if audio is playing that stops as well. If I have my desktop open it'll stay like that. The only way to temporarily fix is by restarting my PC. From when it starts it could take anywhere from 5 minutes to 5 hours.

I've taken it in to be fixed at a repair shop and they've returned it to me 4 times saying it was fixed when it wasn't.

I'm gonna be starting college this fall so a computer is really necessary.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. I'm almost sure it's the MOBO. That's what the repair shop thinks now.

I have no idea what DRAM is sorry. Not very tech savvy. Basic understanding.

I tried looking for them but I couldn't find them.

If DRAM is dedicated RAM that'd be 8GB.

It's unclear whether the 0 is an O. I'm thinking they're 0's
