Good evening Toms Hardware!

Happy Thanksgiving! I have a little problem that hopefully someone will help me :)

I recently bought an Asus monitor (Asus MX239H). I love this IPS monitor, but my only problem is that whenever I turned on my PS4 while the monitor is showing the screen for my PC, it'll turn black and go to the PS4 screen automatically, like for instance, it'll switch HDMI outputs automatically whenever it detects a device. It's not that annoying, but I had a little scare earlier that when I turned on my PS4, it automatically turned to the supposedly PS4 screen, then it'll show black and greyish flashes back and forth. I had to unhook the PS4's hdmi and try it to my TV and everything is fine. Is there any way I can tun off this feature from my monitor?

Unsure about the Asus monitor, however, my BenQ XL2420TE, when I connect a displayport or HDMI to it, I needed to change the output on my settings. These settings can be accessed through the touch features on the side of my monitor. Maybe this can be done with yours?

Yea I just tried and when I looked, it only has the option to change inputs.

I just want it to not change inputs whenever I turn on my PS4 while my PC is currently using the screen.

Would that make it manually? It won't switch inputs automatically?

Alright, so my problem now is that, when I hooked up my PS4 onto the monitor, it won't give me any picture, it keeps going back and forth from black screen to flashes. Any way to fix this? I hooked it up from my TV and it works perfectly.

You mean to say the monitor is only showing what is on the hdmi 1 input?

I took off the hdmi for the pc (as its from hdmi 1), plug in PS4 hdmi cable to hdmi 1 input, it does the same thing as when I hook the cable up from hdmi 2.

Heya, what I tried to do and fixed my problem is that, I turned off PS4, PC, and the Asus monitor. Unplug the monitor and PS4's plug and waited 10 minutes. After that it worked wonders. Thank you so much for the help.
