I bought an ASUS Prime B250M-C motherboard. I'm trying to update the BIOS as there have been newer versions available since my current version. The problem is, there is no EZ Flash option anywhere in the BIOS, or rather any option to update the BIOS. ALT + F2 just brings me back to the BIOS. What are my options?

Solution
So bios 807 is a crap shoot. What you need to do is go to
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-B250M-C-CSM/HelpDesk_Download/
select "Others" for OS. Download the Bupdater Utility under Bio-Utilities and the latest version of BIOS to a USB key and extract the files to the main USB key directory.

You'll need to put the CD that came with the motherboard into the system and boot off it - go to bios > boot > select the drive with the cd for Boot override > a screen may appear to press enter to boot off the CD - press enter.

After it loads switch the drive to "d" by typing "D:" and hit enter
then type the command "bupdater /g"

This should load the bios updater off the USB key and then you can press tab and select the directory and...

There is no TOOL Menu, at least in the 0807 BIOS version. Any other ideas, especially how to get <Alt>+<F2> to work?

F2 on USB keyboard enters BIOS; <Alt>+<F2> does not load EZ Flash 1, as motherboard manual indicates. Same result in USB 3.0 & USB 2 ports. Same result with PS/2 keyboard.

Nope. I ended up returning the board and going with gigabyte instead. Asus technical support is useless, just told me to look through a manual I had already looked at. Sorry, I know that’s not what you wanted to hear.

Good luck!

Solution

These instructions worked for me. All BIOS versions prior to 0812 do not include EZ Flash. 0812 adds a "Tools" menu, which contains EZ Flash.
