I recently bought a friends desktop. I needed to install all the drivers, went to the asus website to install the motherboard drivers, i have a windows764bit, all of them worked fine except for the LAN and wireless drivers. Every time i try to install the LAN driver (Intel_Gigabit_V17200_XPWin7_8) an error comes up saying " Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Adapters are present in this computer." I honestly don't know what to do and need help please.

My CPU is a i5 3570k, not sure if thats important or not.

Hello Nsahmed323,

For the WiFi Driver:

For Asus Wi-Fi Engine (I think this is like a WiFi Manager or something, just install it)

For your LAN Driver, I have a feeling the device is not in the Device Manager. Can you send me a screenshot of your Network Adapter in the Device Manager, let's see whats inside.
- Open Device Manager
- Click View -> Show Hidden Devices
- Expand Network Adapters category
- Provide a screenshot

Also, if you see the Other Devices category, expand it and send me a screenshot. Let me help you :)

Here is a picture of my device manager http://i.imgur.com/olZ8pgl.jpg.

Im not sure if this is a drivers problem, or maybe something went wrong while installing windows 7 profesisonal 64 bit

Hello Nsahmed323,

Sorry for the late reply, so I think there it is. Your Ethernet Controller is missing.

Can you provide a screenshot of the Hardware IDs of the Ethernet Controller? I can't decide which driver should be provided to you as they are not likely the same.
- Open Device Manager
- Expand 'Other Devices' Category
- Right click 'Ethernet Controller', on popup menu select Properties
- On popup window, click the Details Tab
- On Details Tab, click the dropdown box, select Hardware ID and provide a screenshot.
