I'm starting to feel like an idiot. I'm currently researching new laptop batteries for a model N53SN laptop from Asus. The model number of the battery for reference is A32-N61.
My current battery seems to have a runtime of at most 40 minutes when doing general web browsing and I'd like to replace it with an extended battery. I've even contacted customer support for Asus and they mentioned they no longer carry the battery and that I should buy from their approved vendor's list. However, I am unsure of what battery to buy or what to look out for in particular. I've talked to a friend about it and they mentioned it's a good idea that the battery have a brand name on it and that I at least know what the manufacturing date is. However, no batteries that I can see online have either of these criteria. Most are just a generic brand or have the logo taped over.
Does anyone know of a good place to start for a replacement battery or what to look out for? Thanks in advance for the help.
