ASUS not detecting new RAM

Hey, I have ASUS X555LN with i5, GeForce 840M, 4GB ram. And I need more RAM, atleast 2GB. So I looked that it support DDR3L ram modules. I tried put DDR3 1333mhz 2GB 1.5V but it does not detected, so I bought Crusial DDR3L 1600mhz 4GB 1.35V brand new RAM I put it into available slot but bios and windows did not detected them... Seller said that it found out that that could be known issue for this kind of laptop model. But I can not find any info in google... So please help me... I updated my BIOS to 310 version but still not detecting... I tried set bios to default, but still nothing... I can take my laptop to waranty but I am student and writing my last work for bachelor degree and I can not afford to leave my laptop to warranty service god knows for how long it takes to make new ram module to work... Any thoughts? :/

Give us the exact model of the RAM you want to put in the laptop.

You should check for supported memory for you Laptop. Here's Crucial http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/ASUS/x555ln and Kingston http://www.kingstonmemorycards.co.uk/laptop/asus/asus-x555ln-laptop.

I tried this one http://www.eeco.eu/eeco-products/9351937/16/kompiuteriai-100/pc%20komponentai-100001/ram-100001009/Crucial%204GB%20DDR3-1600%20Ballistix%20Sport%20SODIMM%20204pi481553609-detail . its Crucial 4GB DDR3-1600 Ballistix Sport . I also have 2gb asint ddr3 1333mhz , serial ssz302g08-gdjec its also not detecting. :/ crucial advisor shows that maximum is 12GB ram and support this one slot up to 8gb.

I bought this one just 4GB http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/x555ln/CT6234199 . it does not detected... :/ but it is in crucial advisor as recommended for this laptop.

The best compatibility in ram it has Kingston brand, they are the best known as compatibility issue free.

hm... you say kingston... maybe maybe. I will try to go to computer components store and ask if they can check kingston DDR3L 1600mhz 1.35V 4GB ram on my computer if it will detect then buy it if not then I dont know what else to do :/

What version OS 32bit or 64bit?
32bit only supports 4GB max.

You could try removing the installed RAM and try the new one only in the first slot. That would be a start. Eliminate the chance of a bad second slot.

Also did you enter setup after install a save settings? You must do that after adding RAM.

FIrst, my 4GB RAM is internal, soldered to mother board, I have just one available slot. So I dont know if it is bad or good :/
What kind setup? I thought its just put new RAM module to slot and it should be working. I need to do some setup, settings changes? In BIOS There is no such thing to set somethink about RAM, its shows just total memory nothing else.

so, I contacted to Asus support, tell tem the problem and they emailed me 5 ram modules that is compitable with this laptop.
Compatible modules:
DDR3L 1600 SO-D 2G 204P HYNIX/HMT425S6AFR6A-PB

I was able to find just one, hynix one at one guys from my city. I could not find any in local shops of computer components. so, I inserted and bam, its working, now 8GB ram. problem solved.

Laptops can be cranky on what memory they take in, good thing you got it working! =)
