I have succsefully posted in almost every forum here with questions :) My last question deals with memory. If I'm getting the Asus P4C800E-Deluxe and want to get great memory, I'd like to go with high quality stuff. Just a stick of 512 sounds about right, but should I go with the ddr400 stuff? whats my best idea here if i don't want to spend an outrageous sum of money right now, but want to get the high quality stuff over the cheap junk. I'll get more ram as time goes on :)

If you're using an 800 bus P4, you're best advised to use at least DDR400 SDRAM, aka PC3200. Of course if you'd like to overclock, you'll want something even faster! Also, the board will offer improved performance by using 2 modules in Dual Channel mode, rather than 1.

Read My Review Here because it explains this stuff. I wouldn't recommend Corsair though, look around here for opinions on better options.

OCZ seems to have some good prices, I guess the "RAM EXPERTS" are lazy today.

Well I use this MoBo and am using the Corsair XMS Low Latency PC3200. Now why this RAM ? Simple enough: I don't plan to OC so I decided to go with the best PC3200 (this of course is left open for discussion :) ).
Of course it's expensive but it's fast. Now I know that the ration price/performance might be high but hey...I don't want to upgrade my pc every 6 months :D
